It’s topped with whipped cream and drizzled peanut butter and chocolate, as well as chocolate chips for some added texture. If you ask us, it deserves a spot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
2. Mud Pie - Mac and Bob's Restaurant
What’s not to love about a pie that includes Oreos, ice cream, and fudge sauce?! The scratch-made Mud Pie at Mac and Bob’s Restaurant features an Oreo cookie crust that’s filled with vanilla and coffee ice cream. It’s topped with a chocolate fudge sauce, chopped walnuts and whipped cream. Sounds like it’s time to play in the mud.
3. Coconut Cream Pie - K&W Cafeteria

No matter how you pronounce it, we can all agree the Pecan Pie at Brink of the James Bistro is delicious. It’s a sweet pecan filling with chopped pecans that is topped with caramel and whipped cream. For an added touch of sweetness, you can order your pecan pie a la mode with vanilla bean ice cream.
7. Boston Cream Pie (Gluten Free) - Corbin’s Confections
Don’t let a gluten or nut allergy keep you from enjoying pie in Virginia’s Blue Ridge! Corbin’s Confections is a local shop that serves gluten-free, peanut-free and tree-nut free baked goods, including its Boston Cream Pie! It’s a vanilla cake with vanilla pudding that’s topped with a decadent chocolate ganache. Nobody needs you anyway, gluten!

8. Blackberry Ice Cream Pie - Peaks of Otter Lodge Lake View Dining Room
Make a pie pit stop at the Peaks of Otter Lodge during your road trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway! The lodge’s Lake View Restaurant dessert menu includes its wonderful Blackberry Ice Cream Pie. The dish is made with blackberry ice cream, blackberry compote and meringue over a graham cracker crust. Enjoy a slice while taking in the beautiful view from the lodge’s dining room that overlooks Abbott Lake.
9. Hand Pies - Boone’s Country Store
There are many pie options at Boone’s Country Store, but we recommend selecting the hand pies, which are offered in a variety of flavors and can serve as great snacks during your Blue Ridge Day. You can’t go wrong with Apple and Cherry hand pies, two of the country store’s most popular flavors.
10. Apple Pie - Old Oak Cafe
Smith Mountain Lake and Apple Pie? You bet! The Old Oak Cafe is located near the lake and offers an impressive selection of pies, including its Apple Pie that is topped with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.
BONUS - Pizza Pie - Bent Mountain Bistro
We can’t forget about our fantastic pizzas in Virginia’s Blue Ridge! Head up the mountain to Bent Mountain Bistro to enjoy the restaurant’s pizzas, which are prepared in a wood-fired brick oven that cooks at 900°. If you’re a fan of pork, try The Pig, a specialty pizza with country sausage, BBQ that’s smoked onsite, applewood smoked bacon, mozzarella, parmesan, asiago, mushrooms and fresh basil.
