The town hosts all kinds of festivals and special events, including many great concerts throughout the year that take place at the Harvester Performance Center. The Harvester has been voted one of the best live music venues in Virginia and regularly hosts many of your favorite bands.
In addition to live music at the Harvester, there are great community celebrations at the Rocky Mount Farmer's Market, which is also a perfect opportunity to support local farmers, artisans, and vendors.
For outdoor recreation, there group hikes, rides, and races multiple times a year held at Waid Park, which features a fantastic network of trails and access to the Pigg River.
Popular annual celebrations in the Town of Rocky Mount include the Independence Festival for the 4th of July, Come Home to a Franklin County Christmas during the holiday season, the River Ramble Weekend during the spring, and the Scarecrow Trail during the fall.
