The Town of Rocky Mount is located in Franklin County in Virginia’s Blue Ridge.

Originally founded in 1786, Rocky Mount is the county seat of Franklin County and has a population of approximately 5,000.

With its local shops & restaurants, walkable streets, and vibrant musical heritage, Rocky Mount is a wonderful place to experience the small town charm of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The town serves as the eastern gateway to The Crooked Road: Virginia’s Heritage Music Trail, as well as the ‘Round the Mountain Artisan Trail, which are great opportunities to experience the arts & culture of the region.

You can listen to national and international artists in concert at the Harvester Performance Center in Rocky Mount, which has earned a reputation as one of the best live music venues in Western Virginia.
