Freedom First St. Patrick’s Day Parade - March 12

Downtown Roanoke
This year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Downtown Roanoke will feature a special appearance by the iconic Budweiser Clydesdale horses, which will pull the signature red wagon as part of the parade. 

The parade, which will happen rain or shine, begins at 11:00 a.m.

St. Pat’s Street Party - March 12

Martin’s Downtown Bar & Grill
Martin’s Downtown Bar & Grill in Downtown Roanoke is ready to shamROCK in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day with a festive block party that will include 2 stages for live music, featuring performances by The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Audacity Brass Band, and many more.

St. Paddy’s Day Rooftop Party - March 12

The Penthouse at Center in the Square
The rooftop at Center in the Square in Downtown Roanoke is one of the coolest event venues in the region and a great spot for a St. Patrick’s Day party! The event will include live music, full bar & food available from Lazy Bulldog Bistro, and gorgeous views of the surrounding city & mountains.

A Wee Bit O’ Murder - March 13 & 17

Jump Into Mystery is offering numerous opportunities to participate in a St. Patrick’s Day themed murder mystery experience, with events at Well Hung Vineyard on March 13 and Stoney Brook Vineyards on March 17.

Live Irish Music Session - March 14

Big Lick Brewing Company
Big Lick Brewing Company hosts a Live Irish Music Session every Monday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., so it’s the perfect time to take part in the week leading up to St. Patrick’s Day! Enjoy traditional Irish music while sampling some of Big Lick’s delicious craft brews.

Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs St. Patrick’s Day Game - March 18

Berglund Center
Put on your green and bring along the luck of the Irish as you cheer on the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs hockey team for their St. Patrick’s Day Game at the Berglund Center. The Dawgs will wear a special jersey as they face off against the Macon Mayhem.

Freedom First Shamrock Festival - March 19

Downtown Roanoke
The Shamrock Festival in Downtown Roanoke typically happens in conjunction with the St. Patrick's Day Parade, but this year's event is being moved to the following weekend, providing two exciting weekends of St. Patrick's fun to celebrate!

St. Patrick’s Day Party - March 19

Big Lick Brewing Company
Who says the fun has to stop on March 17? Big Lick Brewing Company is keeping the St. Patrick’s Day celebration going with its party on Saturday, March 19! The brewery will have its special Irish Red Ale and Paddy O’ Furniture Dry Irish Stout on tap all weekend and the party will also feature food by Lazy Bulldog Bistro and live music from Chad Nickell & The Loose Change.
