Visit Virginia’s Blue Ridge (Visit VBR) and VBR Sports are excited to announce that the region was awarded the 2021 USA Girls 16U and 18U GOLD Fastpitch National Championship (July 18 – 25, 2021) and the 2021 USA Men’s Class D & E Eastern Slowpitch National Championship (Sept. 3 – 6, 2021). These prestigious championships are a home run for all of Virginia’s Blue Ridge.

VBR Sports beat out Clearwater, FL and Atlanta, GA to win the bid for the USA Girls 16U and 18U GOLD Fastpitch National Championship which is expected to bring 78 to 100 teams to the region for seven days.

Additionally, Salem will serve as the only city in Virginia to host the USA Olympic Softball Team Tour Stop on June 25, 2020. This will be the final stop before the team heads to Japan to compete for the gold medal.

Sports is BIG business for Virginia’s Blue Ridge!
