Green Ridge Recreation Center Indoor Pool - Friday, March 22 - Green Ridge Recreation Center will host an Easter Egg Hunt in the indoor pool area for some Friday night fun. Two and a Half Sisters - Sunday, March 24 - Local boutique Two and a Half Sisters will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt in its front yard, located in Roanoke's Historic Grandin Village. Salem Civic Center - Wednesday, March 27 - The City of Salem will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt in the fields located next to the tennis courts at the Salem Civic Center. The event is designed for children ages 3-10 and it's free to attend. Activities include an Easter egg hunt, visiting the Easter bunny, inflatables, face painting, and more. Egg Hunt Festival - Waid Park - Saturday, March 30 - Franklin County Parks & Recreation will host the 25th annual Easter Egg Hunt at Waid Park, featuring over 25,000 eggs! Breakfast with the Bunny & Egg Hunt - Saturday, March 30 - St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Daleville will host a special breakfast with the Easter bunny event followed by an egg hunt. Pet Photos with the Easter Bunny - Through March 25: Every Monday, Valley View Mall will host a special opportunity for pet photos with the Easter Bunny. Visits are free and photo packages are available for purchase. Walk-ins welcome, but reservations are recommended. Bach's The Passion According to St. John - Friday, March 29 - This classical performance by the Roanoke Baroque Chamber Orchestra, in partnership with The Roanoke Valley Choral Society and choirs of St. John Lutheran and First Evangelical Presbyterian Churches, will feature the towering work of J.S. Bach.
The Passion of the Christ - Friday, March 29: CommUNITY Church in Salem will host a free showing of the movie "The Passion of the Christ" at 7:00 p.m.

Escape to Margaritaville | Through March 30 - Easter Weekend will be the final opportunity to see Escape to Margaritaville, the latest production at Mill Mountain Theatre in Downtown Roanoke. The show is a musical comedy that showcases many of Jimmy Buffet's most classic songs.
Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs Hockey | March 29 & 30 - Cheer on the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs, the area's professional hockey team and the reigning champions of the Southern Professional Hockey League. The Dawgs host the Fayetteville Marksmen for two games on the Friday and Saturday nights of Easter Weekend.
The Harvester - Free Concert Series | March 29 - The Harvester Performance Center in Rocky Mount will host a free show on Friday, March 29 as part of its Free Concert Series. Make it a fun night in Rocky Mount and enjoy live music from Illiterate Light with Dante Elephante.
Lespecial w. LITZ | March 29 - 5 Points Music Sanctuary will host lespecial, as the group brings its "Odd Times Tour" to Virginia's Blue Ridge. The show will be opened by LITZ, a high-energy funktronic band.
Sunrise Hike - Get your Easter morning started with a sunrise hike in Virginia’s Blue Ridge. Two of our favorite local options for sunrise hiking are McAfee Knob on the Appalachian Trail and Sharp Top Mountain at the Peaks of Otter.
See Flowers in Bloom - See spring in bloom at local spots like the Mill Mountain Wildflower Garden atop Mill Mountain in Roanoke or venture out to see the stunning azaleas at Happy Hollow Gardens in Roanoke County. You could also see the wildflowers blooming along the Blue Ridge Parkway with a drive from Roanoke to the Peaks of Otter in Bedford.
Take a Bike Ride - Explore Virginia’s Blue Ridge on two wheels! Check out Carvins Cove for epic trails for mountain biking or take a tour along the Roanoke Valley Greenways for a more relaxing ride.
Scenic Drive - In addition to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Virginia’s Blue Ridge features numerous other routes for scenic drives. Two great options are Route 311 from Salem to Paint Bank and Route 11 from Roanoke traveling north through Botetourt County.
Float a Blueway - Soak in the beauty of the region with a paddling trip along one of our scenic blueways. Twin River Outfitters can help you explore the Upper James River Water Trail in Botetourt County, and Franklin County’s Waid Park is a great spot to put-in for a float along the Pigg River Blueway.
