The professional staff and on-site catering can help with any size function, from a large banquet to a small business meeting to a private party. The Salem Civic Center is located in the charming City of Salem, just a few minutes from the Roanoke Regional Airport, ideally situated for a trade show or convention. The main coliseum can handle up to 8,000 people and has a spacious lobby and fully equipped concession stands. The main community room, richly redecorated and updated, lends dignity to any occasion. Three smaller parlors echo the grandeur of the community room yet allow for more intimate gatherings. With everything that the Salem Civic Center has to offer, it is no wonder it is the heart of the local business and social community. Eight meeting rooms and 40,000 square feet of usable space. Banquet facility for up to 2,000 Variable-height stage. Free parking for up to 4,000 vehicles. In-house catering services. Accommodates 258 8'x 10' booths. Accommodates 300 8'x 8' exhibits. Directions: From the North - Take I-81 South to Exit 141. Follow the signs to Salem. From the exit ramp, take Virginia Route 419 South. Continue to follow signs towards the Salem Civic Center. From the South - Take I-81 North to Exit 141. Follow the signs to Salem. From the exit ramp, take Virginia Route 419 South. Continue to follow signs towards the Salem Civic Center. From U.S. 220 - Take the Franklin Road exit to Route 419. Follow route 419 past Brambleton Avenue and Apperson Drive (about 8 miles). Take a left at Boulevard Roanoke and go 1/4 mile to entrance on right.
