Wasena Park is operated by the City of Roanoke Parks & Recreation Department and has been a popular park in the Roanoke Valley for years. It is located near Downtown Roanoke and the Roanoke River and offers easy access to the Roanoke Valley Greenway close to both Smith and Vic Thomas Parks.
The park is used for recreational leagues and has also hosted various other sporting events.
The park offers outdoor facilities for basketball, tennis, softball, and a skate park.

  • Directions: 581 South to Elm Ave exit. Right off exit. Follow Elm Avenue until intersection of Elm and Main Street where you will pass over Wasena Bridge. At end of bridge take left onto Winona and circle back under bridge on Winchester where you will find park on the right.
