The Town of Boones Mill LOVE sign is located in front of the Carter Bank & Trust building and can be seen by anyone traveling along U.S. Highway 220. Local companies and organizations assisted in the creation of the piece, including Titan Trains cutting the letters from aluminum, graphics created by PostScript Art Studios, and the Boone Dominion Process Company providing the structural components and assistance with the installation of the sign, along with the Boones Mill Volunteer Fire Department.
The sign was designed by Boones Mill Town Council member Sarah Eames and each letter is meant to represent key features that connect with the town's heritage.
The annual Boones Mill Apple Festival and the restoration of the Boones Mill N&W Railway Depot, which are both represented in the LOVEworks art, are unique symbols of the history of the town and its local culture.
