Looking for the perfect getaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains? Only 30 minutes from Roanoke, Virginia, the Peaks Retreat and Adventure Center offers a unique experience for tourists and adventurers alike. Whether you're seeking a relaxing weekend or an exciting adventure, we have everything you need any time of year.

Stay in one of our charming glamping sites, each capable of sleeping 8 people, or book one of our two lodges, which can accommodate up to 80 guests. Your overnight stay at either facility gives you access to some of our stunning outdoor amenities: 3 miles of hiking trails, 1-acre pond for fishing, sand volleyball court, cement basketball court, and 9-hole disc golf course. Additional adventure activities include a zip-line, climbing wall, low ropes course, and swimming pool.

  • Directions: From Roanoke/Points West: Follow US 460-East from downtown Roanoke (starts as Orange Ave NW) for 19 miles. Turn right onto VA-690/Nester Rd and travel for 2 miles. At the stop sign, turn right onto VA-755/Union Church Rd. Travel for 1.4 miles, and then veer left to stay on VA-755/Union Church Rd for another 1.4 miles. Veer right to stay on VA-755/Simmons Mill Rd. Travel .3 miles and The Peaks Retreat and Adventure Center will be on your left. From Bedford/Lynchburg/Points East: Follow 460-West from Bedford for 5 miles. Turn left onto VA-690/Nester Rd and travel for 2 miles. At the stop sign, turn right onto VA-755/Union Church Rd. Travel for 1.4 miles, and then veer left to stay on VA-755/Union Church Rd for another 1.4 miles. Veer right to stay on VA-755/Simmons Mill Rd. Travel .3 miles and The Peaks Retreat and Adventure Center will be on your left.
