The Southwest Virginia Ballet (SVB), founded in 1990, is a premier youth dance company based in Roanoke, Virginia. Dedicated to providing high-quality dance training and performance opportunities, SVB serves young dancers across Southwest Virginia with classes in classical ballet, modern dance, and contemporary dance. SVB is renowned for its annual production of "The Nutcracker", a cherished holiday tradition in Roanoke, featuring original choreography by Artistic Director Pedro Szalay.
