The Town of Floyd in Virginia's Blue Ridge has been named one of the South's Best Small Towns by Southern Living.

Floyd was one of 20 small towns featured in an article recently published on the Southern Living website.

With its small-town charm, eclectic arts and music scene, and breathtaking landscape in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Floyd offers a truly unique experience for visitors to Virginia's Blue Ridge.

As a stop on The Crooked Road: Virginia's Heritage Music Trail, The Floyd Country Store is a wonderful place to hear great bluegrass music and there's a party every week with its iconic Friday Night Jamboree.

The music of the region is also highlighted every year as visitors from around the nation make their way to Floyd for FloydFest, a multi-day outdoor music festival. There are also regular festivals and great events at Chantilly Farm.

The Blue Ridge Parkway provides easy access to Floyd, which can be reached via Route 8 from Milepost 165. Traveling north from Floyd, Route 8 is also just 20 miles from Interstate 81, making it easy to reach from either direction.

Book a room at the Hotel Floyd, an eco-friendly option that's been designated as a "Virginia Green Lodging" establishment, or enjoy the quaint character of the Bella La Vita Inn.

Congratulations to the Town of Floyd and its local businesses for being recognized as one of the South's Best Small Towns. See the complete list on the Southern Living website.
