I have been turning for over 30 years. I started out being self taught. Then, about fifteen years ago I realized I was not a good student and even worse as a teacher. So, I joined the Blue Ridge Woodturners in Southwest Virginia as well as the America Association of Woodturners. I also attended workshops with Mike Mahoney, Soren Berger, Richard Raffan, and Ray Key. Now having been a good student I am more skilled at turning and a better teacher. I most enjoy creating usable items, such as bowls, pepper mills, stools, and other spindle turnings. I also offer decorative items, such as christmas ornaments, tiny birdhouses, and vases.
My shop is located in Fincastle on Rt. 220. I am also part of Open Studios Botetourt tour in October.
VIsit my website for my most current sale items.
