Virginia State Route 43 connects the Blue Ridge Parkway to Interstate 81 and U.S. 220. The road also connects the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Town of Bedford and the National D-Day Memorial.Driving on this scenic route offers the opportunity to enjoy many of the same views you would see on the Blue Ridge Parkway and it also leads you into some of the beautiful vistas of Botetourt County near Eagle Rock.The portion of Route 43 between the Blue Ridge Parkway and Eagle Rock is approximately 22 miles, with Interstate 81 located between the two.
