Suzun Hughes is Philadelphia-born painter and fine art photographer. Having been based in San Francisco since 1975, she moved to Roanoke, VA in April 2007. Hughes studied painting and printmaking at the San Francisco Art Institute after graduating from San Francisco State University’s Multimedia Studies Program. Her art has been shown nationally and internationally. She has been published in multiple art magazines, and awarded Grants and Residencies, both locally and internationally. Her work is on display at the Wilson Hughes gallery in Downtown Roanoke which participates monthly in Art By Night in Roanoke on the first Friday of every month.
