The Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce is an organization of Smith Mountain Lake business and professional people created to promote tourism, business and community growth, to develop and promote programs designed to encourage economic, social, cultural and recreational interests of lake area residents, and to advocate those policies and programs that will promote the interests of its 700 members. The Visitor Center serves as a regional Virginia Welcome Center. It is 100% funded by Chamber activities and donations received from its guests.

Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day
Directions
- Directions: From Roanoke, take US 220 South into Franklin County through Boones Mill. After Boones Mill, turn left at Plateau Plaza (Gas Station/Dairy Queen/Bojangles) onto Wirtz Road/Rt. 697. At the end of Wirtz Road, turn left on Rt. 122 North. The Chamber is located 11 miles ahead on the right in Bridgewater Plaza.
