The Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce is an organization of Smith Mountain Lake business and professional people created to promote tourism, business and community growth, to develop and promote programs designed to encourage economic, social, cultural and recreational interests of lake area residents, and to advocate those policies and programs that will promote the interests of its 700 members. The Visitor Center serves as a regional Virginia Welcome Center. It is 100% funded by Chamber activities and donations received from its guests.
