Our congregation was planted by the Virlina District of the Church of the Brethren in the 1990s. While we have worshiped in several locations over the years, we have always been committed to serving the Smith Mountain Lake community.
Our worship service starts with a Song of Praise, and can be described as a "blended" style. We pray together for each other and our community, sing contemporary songs as well as hymns, and study the Bible through the reading of scripture and a sermon. Everything we do is projected on the wall at the front of the sanctuary.
We welcome everyone - yes, everyone! If you have children, we provide a nursery as well as Children's Church, where the kids study a Bible Story, do a craft, or maybe even a service project. Children are also welcome to stay in the sanctuary during the whole service.
