WHY THE UPCHARGE FOR TAKEAWAY CUPS?
Mostly to raise awareness of the cost of single-use items, both in terms of money and sustainability. Single-use items are not free, especially to small businesses. They also have a cost to everyone - waste and emissions. Millions of single-use cups, lids and straws are produced, shipped across the globe, used and discarded every day.
HOW DOES THE HUSKEE SWAP SYSTEM WORK?
Huskee Cups, which we sell at the cafe, are a great, sustainable choice for a reusable cup. They are made from the husks of coffee beans, produced when the coffee is roasted.
