Roanoke Valley Christian Schools (RVCS) is a private, coeducational, Christian school for students in K2-(pre-kindergarten) through Grade 12. RVCS was founded in 1973, and currently has 1110 graduates. The mission of RVCS is to make disciples of Christ in obeying the command of God to train students in truth. RVCS is dedicated to the development of students spiritually, personally, academically, and relationally. The average student at RVCS scores above average on the annual standardized test. The majority of our graduates enter college. The curriculum is developed to prepare students for higher education. A variety of textbooks are in use, both from secular and Christian publishing companies. All educational objectives are built from a Biblical Worldview. A minimum of 24 credits is required in grades 9-12 for graduation. This exceeds the requirements for a standard diploma from the Commonwealth of Virginia. Teachers are qualified college graduates, committed to the goals of Christian education, and all of our teachers are certified by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). The educational facilities include air-conditioned, carpeted classrooms, instructional equipment, science and computer labs, libraries, and gymnasium. RVCS is a member of and fully accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and AdvancED/Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). ACSI is a member of the Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE).
