Located atop Mill Mountain, the Roanoke Star is one of the world’s largest man-made stars. It is Roanoke’s best-known landmark with breathtaking overlooks to the Valley below. The Discovery Center (2,200 sq. ft.) sits below Mill Mountain Zoo and accommodates 40 people for a meeting; 95 people for a standing reception. There is also a large, attractive park below the Star with the Mill Mt. Pavilion (1,500 sq. ft.), which accommodates 60.
