The Roanoke Higher Education Center is a collaborative effort among 16 member institutions and agencies currently offering more than 100 undergraduate, graduate, licensure and certificate programs. Tours available upon request. Our hours of operation are Monday - Thursday - 7:00am - 11:00pm, Friday -7:00am- 10:00pm, Saturday - 7:00am - 6:00pm , Sunday - Closed. Meeting Facilities: 11 meeting rooms, total of 11,560 square feet. Main Conference Room - 2,100 square feet. Claude Moore Auditorium - 1,778 square feet. Large Conference Room - 1,095 square feet. Large Conference Room - 1,302 square feet. Large Conference Room (classroom style) - 1,260 square feet. Medium Conference Room - 882 square feet. Medium Conference Room - 882 square feet. Small Conference Room - 408 square feet. Large Computer Classroom (22 students/1 teacher) - 790 square feet. Small Computer Classroom (12 students/1 teacher) - 393 square feet. Most A/V equipment included in fee, wireless Internet/Network Access, Video Teleconferencing Equipment, Stage Riser available (w/ fee).
Directions to the Roanoke Higher Education Center (RHEC):
The Roanoke Higher Education Center (RHEC) is housed in the renovated Norfolk & Western Railroad building at 108 North Jefferson Street, next to the Hotel Roanoke. The main entrance closest to parking is on the west side of the building, facing Jordan Alley.
From 581 heading South, take Exit 5. Turn right onto Wells Ave. Proceed past the Hotel Roanoke and cross Jefferson St. Take next left into Jordan Alley to Parking Lot.
From 220/581 heading North, take Exit 4E, immediately turn right onto Williamson Road. Proceed south to Wells Ave., and turn right onto Wells. Cross Jefferson St. and take the next left onto Jordon Alley to Parking Lot.
