Pandapas Pond is also commonly referred to as the Poverty Creek Trail System - a network of 17 miles of trails in the George Washington & Jefferson National Forest near Blacksburg and Virginia Tech. The area features riding through hardwood and rhododendron forests that are especially beautiful during the blooming season. At over 7 miles, the Poverty Creek Trail is the primary trail in the system and it connects to various spurs that offer intermediate and expert rides that descend both sides of Brush Mountain.
