Encountering strong sunlight and cast shadows is often the inspiration for my painting. I am captivated by the shapes, patterns and textures that are illuminated in bright sunlight. By zooming in for a close-up view I leave out as much, if not more, of the subject as I paint. I invite the viewer to fill-in the blanks. Enjoy.
