The Mill Mountain Full-Pull is a fantastic tour of every mountain biking trail on Mill Mountain in Roanoke in Virginia's Blue Ridge. The mountain is *in* the city limits of Roanoke! From UnderDog Bikes, the ride begins with a short, gentle warm-up along the picturesque Roanoke River Greenway then dives into the phenomenal Mill Mountain singletrack trails network and finishes with a long rip of a downhill from the top of the Ridgeline trail, down Monument right back to the start! This is an outstanding trail system that is well-maintained and cared for and it has exceptional wet weather tolerance - so when other trail systems are a mess due to recent rains the trails on Mill Mountain are most often still great to ride! This ride tops out at the Roanoke Star, the world's largest freestanding illuminated man-made star, and the view of Roanoke from the overlook is unparalleled. There's definitely climbing involved and there are some challenging sections which earn this ride its intermediate+ rating. Completing this route would be a great goal to aspire toward for novice mountain bikers and it's an outstanding riding/training route for intermediate up to pro level mountain bikers. This route was created by the Roanoke IMBA organization. Click the website link to the listing on MTB Project, which features step-by-step directions and details about length & elevation.
