Jamison Mill Park is located on Philpott Lake in Franklin County and features over 6 miles of interconnected trails for hiking and biking. Many of the trails in the park are connected by three primary loops that wind throughout the park, including large segments in the woods and portions that are along the lakefront. The trails are classified as moderate to strenuously difficult in the trail guide, and it would take approximately 3 hours to complete the entire trail system. The longest trail in the park is the Dew Drop Loop, which is 1.8 miles long. The Golden Shore Loop and Bob Carter Trail both feature interpretive stops that explain more about the history of the park and the history of the surrounding area. The system offers nice variety, between surrounding views and the trail types, ranging from narrow footpaths to wide fire roads.
