Elmo's Rest is a farm vacation rental operated by Nancy and Danny Johnson on the fifth generation family farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. There are 250 acres of orchards, pasture, woods, farm animals and ponds located in Bedford County, between Roanoke and Lynchburg. Located about 8 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 7 miles from the National D-Day Memorial. Visit the onsite Peaks of Otter Winery and Johnson's Orchards. Everything is furnished but the food and you! Elmo's Rest comes completely furnished to accommodate groups, families and couples. The kitchen is equipped with the basics or you can dine out - (either gourmet or fast food)within 5-25 miles. The house is a roomy 1900's farm house furnished for comfort, convenience and a sense of history. We are also about 4 hours from Washington DC.
