Kevin Stuckey first started Ducks on a Mission in 2016 as a project. After seeing a need for families who were struggling with insecurity, he launched an annual Thanksgiving food drive to bless families. After several food drives, Ducks on a Mission became a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2021 based in Roanoke, Virginia. This provides support to families struggling with food insecurity around the holidays.
When it comes to the food that we give out, we make intentional steps to make sure people feel loved and cared for. We are more focused on quality over quantity and we use the same brands of food that we use in our homes. We also try to give families more than enough food so they are well taken care of and have leftovers to feed them after the holiday.
