The Dragon's Tooth Trail is a rugged and rewarding hike. The trail offers incredible views of the area and an opportunity to see some of the unique geological features of Cove Mountain. The mountain is home to various outcrops of rock, and the "Dragon's Tooth" is a unique spire that projects 35 feet above the surrounding rock. The head of the trail also offers excellent views of many nearby and distant peaks. It's a rewarding climb that requires some skill and challenge to travel.
Directions
- Directions: From I-81, take Exit 141. Go north on Rt. 419/N. Electric Road toward Rt. 311. Turn right on Rt. 311N and continue approximately 10 miles. The parking lot for Dragon's Tooth will be on the left just after Catawba Grocery.
