The shops along Main Street in Downtown Salem are worth the visit. You'll find crafts and fine arts, antiques and more, easily accessible by foot as parking is ample and free. Salem's reputation as an antiques mecca is both well deserved and growing. Visit each of the dozen or so shops for a full appreciation. Shoppers will find: Silverqueen corn to handmade Christmas wreaths, consider a stop at the Salem Farmers' Market, where area farmers and craftspeople sell their fruits, vegetables and seasonal treats. The market is open from 6:00 AM to dusk, Monday through Saturday, April through December.
