Deborah's medium is primarily watercolor with a focus on organic materials including shells and flowers, the ocean and the mountains. Now living in Salem, Virginia, largely self-taught Maine watercolor artist, Deborah had the privilege of studying with Maine artist Kathie Boldt. The spontaneous interplay between paint and water as they come together to portray the beauty of the subject is one aspect of watercolor that Deborah finds intriguing.
Deborah currently shows her work at Art on Kirk Gallery at 114A Kirk Avenue in Roanoke, Virginia. A unique gathering of artist share this gallery and studio space. Open for all Art By Night Friday evenings as well as by appointment.
