This section of trails in the Jefferson National Forest and near the Blue Ridge Parkway features some of the best views in the region. It’s a segment of the Glenwood Horse Trail in Virginia’s Blue Ridge, with popular sections including the Mine Shaft Trail, Bobblet’s Gap, and Spec Mines. Between the singletrack and fire roads in the area, riders can enjoy over 30 miles of outstanding mountain biking. You can also take advantage of connecting multiple trail segments via the Blue Ridge Parkway. An easy spot for hopping on this trail network is at the Day Creek Horse Trail parking lot off Blackhorse Gap Road.
