This trail system is part of the George Washington & Jefferson National Forest and incorporates numerous sections of the Glenwood Horse Trail. There are multiple options for loops that can be built from over 60 miles of advanced singletrack and fire road connections. The U.S. Forest Service also operates the North Creek Campground in this area, making this a great option for MTB touring and camping. Popular trail sections in this system include Terrapin Mountain, Onion Mountain, Salad Hill, and Middle Creek #618.
Note that biking is not permitted on the Appalachian Trail and wear blaze orange as hunting is permitted in this area.
