The Salem Memorial Stadium was host to the 2003 and 2004 ACC Baseball Championships.
The Roanoke Valley hosts the annual Shamrock Festival, one of the largest nationally-sanctioned USAV tournaments and one of the premier events for junior volleyball players on the East Coast.
