Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing is the ultimate adventure destination in the southeast. Our 500 acre property is nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, completely surrounded by the George Washington & Jefferson National Forests with Craig Creek wrapping around our property. Experience all that we have to offer!
Join us for Summer Camp! From June - August we offer 1,2 and 3 week sleep-away outdoor adventure summer camp for ages 9-17. In the summer youth program, campers will stay in tents and backpack through the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. They participate in adventure activities like rock climbing, canoeing, caving, mountain biking, whitewater kayaking, ropes courses, and more! Our summer trips are designed for kids and teenagers who are new to outdoor living and adventure activities, just as much as it is for those who already are well versed in these activities and want a challenge and opportunity to build a community. We provide all of the essential gear that they will need. At the end of camp, all groups come together for our traditional Friday ceremonies, including our Giant Swing ride, a communal dinner, closing campfire, and our famous WA Olympics!
We are not your ordinary Conference, Retreat and Adventure Center. Our unique facility can host up to ~105 for lodging, ~120 for camping and dining, and ~200 for day trips depending on the activities and program desired. Our business thrives on word of mouth and returning customers, because once you host your event at our facility you won't want to go anywhere else. That is why groups become official members of the WAEL family and many have been returning for close to 20 years now. We customize all group tours and retreats to meet the individual interests and budget of each group. Whether you are looking for a relaxing mountain getaway or a high adventure trip, we can help customize a retreat that will fit both your interests and your budget. We customize all group retreats to meet the group goals and needs of each group. Our kitchen makes delicious homemade meals that cater to dietary restrictions and are customizable. Whether you just want a unique meeting space for your own programming or would like for us to set up an overnight excursion packed with adventure activities, we can do it all! Activities include: Giant Swing, high ropes elements, 50' climbing wall, canoeing, tubing, guided rock climbing on real rock, guided caving, guided mountain biking, backpacking trips, hiking, canoeing, teambuilding courses and more!
For families and individuals looking for a weekend getaway in nature, we have several rustic cabins and campsites to stay in and get to take advantage of all WA has to offer year round! Camping includes use of our showerhouse (with hot showers), fire pits, drinking water, wi-fi, use of our outdoor pavilion, and free activities such as hiking on our 500 acre property, swimming & fishing in our pond or creek, sand volleyball, and field game equipment. We have a beautiful bluff overlook that is a moderate trail that takes about 1-2 hours round trip. We also have a network of trails on our property that are perfect for hiking or mountain biking, a full disc golf course, and creek access.
Wilderness Adventure truly has something for everyone! We are home to several disc golf tournaments, our annual WA Fest music festival, Yogaventure, Camp Reckoning music festival, so much more. Check out our website to see everything we have to offer from our Summer Youth Program to our music festivals or just a family getaway!
