Want to test your climbing skills? The Three Peaks Bike Route in Virginia’s Blue Ridge will offer challenging ascents that deliver a pay-off of stunning panoramic views. It’s an exciting 20 mile ride that features two primary climbs. The first is up 12 O’Clock Knob on Poor Mountain and its summit of 2,529 feet, the highest point on the route. After you make your way down 12 O’Clock Knob, it’s another climb to the top of Mount Chestnut, which provides another incredible view at just over 2,000 feet. Following Mount Chestnut, it’s an exciting ride down with the third peak being on Sugarloaf Mountain as you make your way back toward Oak Grove Plaza, the start/stop point for this loop.
