The LOVEwork in Southeast Roanoke was a collaborative effort between a Virginia Tech grad student, Southeast Roanoke neighbors, and the Western Virginia Water Authority. The L-V-E letters are filled with nearly 300 3-inch cutout houses, painted by Southeast neighbors and community partners to represent places they LOVE in Southeast. The O is filled with hundreds of red hearts to represent the great team of neighbors and community partners who are pouring LOVE into caring for and improving the Southeast neighborhoods. Special thanks to the Western Virginia Water Authority for building a safe and beautiful home for this community art project and for housing it on their property at the Roanoke Regional Water Pollution Control Plant, near the Bennington Park/Greenway parking lot.
