This special Smith Mountain Lake LOVE sign is mobile, though it’s most often found at the Westlake Towne Center in Franklin County. The “LOVE” letters are made of plywood and layered with fiberglass and Styrofoam and measure 4 feet by 4 feet. Each letter represents a different activity that can be found at Smith Mountain Lake — the L was made from a pair of water skis and a wakeboard; the O is a large golf ball; the V is two fishing lures; and the E is a throw-ring buoy to illustrate boating.
