Roanoke artist Kathryn Schnabel is known for her vibrantly colorful abstract paintings. She enjoys the challenge of trying to capture the unseen - mysteries, dreams, memories, and the hidden energy of nature. Her mixed media textile artworks use fabric paints, dyes, and batik wax to create intriguing layers of color and imagery. Kathryn is also a teaching artist and coach, working with a variety of groups including children, adults, business leaders, and commercial clients.
