Located on the scenic shores of Smith Mountain Lake, Hickory Hill Vineyards & Winery in Moneta, Virginia offers visitors a chance to taste award-winning wines in a historic, family-owned setting. Established in 1984, it is the oldest commercial vineyard in the area, with over 80 international medals awarded to its exceptional wines. The winery produces a variety of wines, including the Lake Series, Estate-Grown Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and the popular Sixty-Six, a traditional Bordeaux blend.
The winery’s 1923 farmhouse serves as a cozy tasting room and gift shop, providing a welcoming atmosphere for guests to sample wines and purchase unique gifts. Guests can also enjoy the picnic area with beautiful views of the vineyard.
