The trails for mountain biking are one of many great reasons to visit Explore Park, which is located at Milepost 115 off the Blue Ridge Parkway along the Roanoke River Gorge. The park features over 14 miles of trails that wind through deciduous forest and are great for hiking and mountain biking. The park is also a designated site on the Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail, so keep your eyes open for the animals and birds that make the park their habitat. Many of the natural surface trails for biking in Explore Park are easy or moderately difficult for riding, and most of them can be enjoyed as individual loops or combined together for longer rides.
