Born from the minds of Tony Pearman and Todd Marcum in 1996, this American agency has grown to serve clients throughout the Eastern United States and around the globe and boasts more than 450 design and public relations awards for excellence. Headquartered in Roanoke, Va. with an office in Richmond, Access specializes in a number of industries including Healthcare, Higher Education and Business-to-Business. Among our many clients are HCA Virginia, Virginia Tech, Marshal University, TMEIC, Optical Cable Corporation, American General Life & Accident Insurance Company, Medeco High Security Locks, and myriad of others both regionally and nationally. While the ultimate goal of every project is to generate results, our firm is no stranger to awards. Access has been recognized with national Healthcare Advertising Awards, Cannonballs from The Richmond Show, Telly Awards, literally hundreds of local, regional and national ADDY Awards, CASE awards for work in higher education and Summit Awards from the Public Relations Society of America. Our Community At Access, we're proud of our community and routinely give back as an agency, and as individuals, to ensure the Roanoke Valley continues to move forward. The firm has been recognized for its efforts in child abuse prevention as well as with the Roanoke City Police Department, The YCMA of Roanoke Valley, the Roanoke Valley Preservation Foundation, Habitat for Humanity and others for philanthropic and bro bono work. In 2006, Access became the first advertising and PR firm to be recognized by the Perry F. Kendig Award by the Arts Council of the Blue Ridge for support of the arts in Western Virginia. Our People Access' staff includes three recipients of the Advertising Person of the Year award (Tony Pearman, CCO and Senior Partner, Gary Gilmore, Interactive Creative Director and Associate, and Terri Jones, APR, Principal) and two American Advertising Federation Silver Medal Recipients (Pearman and Jones). In 2007, Jones was recognized at the National Press Club as PRNews' Agency Executive of the year. Our Home And, while we work hard, we play hard, too. Access was named Best Place to Work in 2007 by the Blue Ridge Business Journal and our cool, creative and open workspace (a 1929 building which formerly housed Blue Ridge Motors, a Buick dealer and Double Cola's regional bottling facility) has been featured in HOW Magazine and Virginia Business magazine.
