There will be various road and park related closures during IRONMAN weekend and we encourage you to view the 2023 Traffic Impact Guide for a full list and schedule of closures and information.
The Blue Ridge Parkway will be closed from Milepost 91 to Milepost 112.2 on Saturday, June 3 at 5:00 p.m. through Sunday, June 4 until 2:00 p.m.
Carvins Cove Reservoir will also be closed for the weekend for the swimming portion of the race.

Following this year's event, the National Park Service will begin an extensive road repair project on a large portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Roanoke Region, including the area that has been utilized as the bike course for the Carilion Clinic IRONMAN 70.3 Virginia's Blue Ridge.
Race officials have made the decision to pause the event following the 2023 edition while these road improvements are completed.
