Bring your friends and family out for this candlelit evening event in the park. The living history program is based on the memoirs of Dr. Booker T. Washington in his article “Christmas Days in Old Virginia.” What was Christmas like in the mid-19th century in Virginia? What kind of discussions were going on in the kitchen cabin where Booker lived and in the Big House next door? Enjoy children’s programs, living history programs, music, and light refreshments. Please dress in layers, since this program takes place indoors and outdoors.
