Free jazz concert to celebrate the historic Strand Theatre on Henry Street! The theatre opened in 1923 and the legends of jazz have played on the stage...from Duke Ellington to Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong to Dizzy Gellespie and many more! The last concerts were in 1965 starring none other than James Brown. This concert by the Gainsboro community is to bring awareness of this historic storied stage and ask volunteers to help bring it back to life.
