National Roanoke Community Beautification Day is an official designated National calendared day. 

VASH believes each child and family should live and grow in a healthy, safe, protected environment.
National Roanoke Community Beautification Day is a day for Southwest Virginia residents, families and visitors to come together to help with eliminating poverty, and taking a stand to combat blight in communities by helping to revitalize neighborhoods, beautify
homes, parks, and communities for a better Roanoke. 

This day speaks to the love Southwest Virginians share for one another that should resonate around the world.
