Hispanic Heritage Celebration!

Formed in 2018, Jstop Latin Soul came together when trombonist Joel Stopka and bassist/guitarist Brian Mesko teamed up to explore their passion for Afro-Cuban music & Jazz in SW Virginia. The duo has brought together a collective of the area’s finest musicians that really bring the heat!

Vladimir Espinosa and David Sandoval, two explosive Latin percussion technicians, have lead the driving rhythm section along with drummer DeWayne Peters & ‘Montuno Tom’ Floyd on piano. New York recording artist Ken Hitchcock provides masterful tenor sax and flute performances with inspired improvisations. Willis Greenstreet on guitar adds to the depth of musical integrity with gritty guitar solos, and Janiah Allen on Timbale is enough to make anyone get up & dance.

The band soon found an audience eager to discover the excitement of Latin music & dance and have since been building a steady following of Salsa lovers while performing in all of the area’s premier music venues.
