Drawing on the vibrant music and natural landscapes of Texas, Austin-based Horsetail makes music that serves as a mirror, reflecting the gritty realities of modern life with raw lyrics and disruptive noise. With as much crooning as there is shouting, Horsetail brings its own supply of electricity to the country-western ethos. The Austin Chronicle describes their music as being written with “clever candor, backed by imaginative indie rock sounds that mark this emerging act as one to grow with.” This growth continues with the upcoming release of their debut album, Oil Rig. With this project, Horsetail turns love, loss, beauty, and pain into an undeniably Texan portrait of the moment we are all living through.
