Join the fun as the GREAT RACE stops at the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke, Virginia as part of a nine-day rally from St. Paul, MN to Irmo, SC. This is a FREE event, with a family-friendly atmosphere, so bring the kids and welcome more than 140 classic cars and trucks (1974 and earlier) as they roll into town. The museum will be open until 9:00 pm.
You’ll have easy access to the cars, drivers and navigators. In some cases, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see cars that are more than 100 years old, competing in this long-distance rally. There are also high-end sports cars, muscle cars, classics and hot rods. The Great Race only be in town for a short time, so don’t miss your chance to check out the old cars!
Spectators will be able to view the cars in front of the museum for free, however regular admission rates apply to come into the museum and rail yard for the party.
There will be live music by Aaron & the Beaux Ties, Dale’s Diner and more!
