A genre-demolishing formula by the name of Gangstagrass: a crack team of bluegrass pickers and battle tested MCs that have produced a bunch of full-length albums exploring the many possibilities of this genre fusion. 2020’s “No Time For Enemies” reached #1 on the Billboard bluegrass charts (the first time an album featuring real hip-hop MCs had done so). Since then, Gangstagrass has toured internationally, blowing minds on main stages from SXSW to Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, Glastonbury to America’s Got Talent, to Colours of Ostrava, to Shambala. This rebellious collective has achieved unparalleled success in crafting an innovative sound rooted in historically significant heritage, garnering a reputation among fans for its dynamism and spontaneity. The last few years have seen their biggest UK and European festival run to date with performances at Colours of Ostrava (CZ) late afternoon on the Drive stage, Zwarte Cross (NL) late evening on the Bayou Stage , Cambridge Folk Festival (UK) evening on the mainstage, Womad Festival (UK) evening slot on the 2nd stage, headline main stage slot at Montelago Celtic Festival (IT), headline main stage slot at Shrewsbury Folk Festival (UK), afternoon slot at The Long Road (UK) on the Interstate stage, Smukfest (DK) afternoon on the 2nd stage, 30,000 capacity …and they can’t wait to come back….
