The Crooked Road Running Club presents the 6th Annual Crooked Road 24 Hour Ultra starting 8 a.m. Saturday, November 19th to 8 a.m. Sunday, November 20th at Waid Recreation Park in Rocky Mount. The ultra is designed for runners of all skill levels. The course consists of a USATF Certified 1.1815 mile loop (VA15003BDS) of mostly flat terrain with small cinders. The entire course is on a fine-gravel path which is marked at night with glow sticks. Participants are not expected to run for the entire 24 hours but are encouraged to run and walk to complete as many miles as possible. Awards will be given to 1st place overall male and female. A CR24 100 mile buckle to those who cover 100 miles in 24 hours (if not in a prior year). On-site overnight camping allowed. Online and paper registration available, no race day registration. Registration deadline: October 31.
